At the recent HEC Christmas Party, all boarders and
students were
invited to bring their doggies to participate in the 'Pooch Parade'.
This is the winner, 'Riley' Brady who was dressed as a King. A great
time was had by all, and it was very interesting to see what breed of
dogs everyone owns.

Congratulations and Good luck in 2007!!
Sadly, my horse Repent was retired last week from his
dressage career.
In January 2004, while playing in his snowy pasture, he fell breaking
his withers. It had not affected his training until this year. After a
recent x-ray of the area, it was with heavy heart that I took him back
to retire on the farm he was born.
Cornell University, where he was bred, will make him as useful as
possible for the rest of his days.
Repent was my first warmblood, and I enjoyed showing him the few years
that I had him. He was quite a character and is remembered by some for
'touring' Bucks Cty Horse Park after dumping me in a test......and then
again at the New Jersey Horse Park this past spring when he spooked in
the warm up.
He loved his horse cookies and would 'paw' on command for mints. Truly a
special horse, he will be missed.
Nov 4th & 5th Linda Zang Clinic presented by DVCTA at
Sandy Bottom Farm, Earleville Md.
Steve Frey and Newton were among the riders attending. Linda Zang, who
is an 'O' judge, was able to immediately hone in on Steve's position and
allow Newton to become a horse that Steve had never felt before! Always
upbeat and very encouraging to all the riders, she was heard telling
Steve, "Don't you EVER sell this horse !"

Pink Ribbon Ride Fund at the Lehigh Valley Hospital started with more
than $13000 dollars. Much of the money has been given out already and we
are planning an interim fundraiser at the hospital about May or so. It is
for the
doctors that want to participate and help patients. Breyer has a proposal
for a
Pink Ribbon Horse and a launch of the new Breyer model at the Bucks County
Horse Park. Keep your fingers crossed for that one.

Wednesday Dressage Schooling at HEC
June 22, July 20, Aug 17
From 12 noon to 8 pm
USDF tests thru First Level $10
Second Level and Up $20
First Come First Serve, Neg Coggins required.
This will be an inexpensive, casual , fun atmosphere to practice your
test in a full size sand arena. Shows may be judged by certified judge
OR competitive rider/trainer.
FEI Riders and Eventers: Call to see if we have your tests, or you may
need to bring a copy.
All dogs are welcome, but must be leashed, snacks and drinks available.
Warmup in the indoor (sand/rubber) or Hunt Field (grass)

Congratulations to Beth Ann Adams! Beth Ann won a grant from the
Dressage Foundation Carol Lavell Gifted Fund for Region I!
'Sudzauber' owned by Dr. Cynthia Reynolds of Jonesborough, TN finished
8th in GAIC Open 3rd Level Championships for USDF Region One. It was a
wonderful weekend and a great experience for 'ZZ', who came north to get
'show mileage'. He is currently relaxing at home with his buddy 'Newt'
enjoying some much deserved time off, he's worked hard this summer!!
Also, HEC is having another Fun show on Oct 24th, that will
include hunters, driving, games and even costume classes!

Christina is a 1995 Graduate of Centenary College
with a BS in Equine Studies.
She brings to us a vast knowledge of the horse
business as well as her
talent for teaching. In addition to specializing in
teaching beginner's, she also
teaches driving! Christina joins us as our newest
instructor and our stable manager.
